We are delighted to partner with one of the most cutting edge and successful Homewares brands in the UK. Our client is innovative in design and production and are now seeking to hire an experienced Design Manager to be part of their continued success.

Over view of Role:

  • Lead the ongoing development and implementation in products across homeware categories
  • You will have a curative overview of the process to ensure consistency across collections and categories
  • Contribute to Seasonal Design Direction document to ensure appropriate structure and references for your categories
  • Lead the delivery of seasonal palettes and pattern suites
  • Work with the buying teams and designers during the seasonal range review process to identify market and product needs across all your categories, supplementing the seasonal theme based collections with core market driven launches. Your overview across categories will ensure synergy across different buyers and designers
  • Assist Design Director in identifying the creative direction for new Homewares categories

Project Management

  • Oversee the design of homewares collections to ensure synergy across categories and materials
  • You will work directly with Decorative Accessories and Gifting buyers to compile their range reviews and develop collections
  • You will guide members of the design team in the development of the Leisure and Table-top Range reviews and designs to maintain a common thread
  • Develop, strengthen and coordinate internal and external pool of designers by identifying and matching projects and collaborators
  • Following agreed strategy, create appropriate commercial, design and technical briefs for ranges with the highest potential
  • Identify the right suppliers within the company manufacturing network, or flag missing capabilities, in order to best work on each brief
  • Lead and manage the design process for each development including product sample review and sign-off


  • Recruit and manage design support, and work alongside existing team to direct the development of parallel categories
  • During each development work closely with the overseas development and UK quality teams to focus attention on the right process and design choices.
