We have partnered with one of the most iconic Homeware brands in the UK who continue to create cutting edge design. Our client who is based in London is looking for a dynamic Commercial Development Manager.

This is a broad and hands on role responsible for developing and delivering all commercial initiatives to drive sales of products in new channels and with external partners. Working alongside the Head of Buying you will establish strong relationships and manage day to day engagement with internal and external partners.
This role involves working at all levels of seniority within the business, and external partners using a wide range of communication styles and tools.

As Commercial Development Manager your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide clear plans and timelines for the delivery of commercial initiatives in relation to channel development
  • Build critical paths, ensure relevant teams are adhering to project plans and flag issues and risks to relevant stakeholders
  • Build intercompany and external processes and provide recommendations for ways of working
  • Recognise risks from both a business and customer experience perspective
    Coordinate the development and execution of commercial and profitable range plans for each channel
  • Support with the alignment of trading plans and promotional calendars across all channels
  • Support with the establishment of channel reporting and facilitate post investment reviews

Act as the main point of communication between the different functions and businesses

As Commercial Development Manager your skills, experience and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
  • Project management experience with excellent attention to detail and a proven track record in delivering to deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise, manage multiple workstreams and hit tight deadlines
  • Ability and confidence to make day to day operational decisions at pace and know when to escalate to senior management
  • Previous experience of a commercial role with a good understanding of retail buying & merchandising processes
  • A resilient self-starter, who can make things happen in a changing environment and has a can-do attitude
  • Strong excel skills are required and project management qualifications desirable
    Knowledge and passion for the brand with a desire to ‘own & drive’ projects you are responsible for
